Elfreda A Abudu

Board Chairperson

Elfreda Angangmwine Abudu is a Public Health Specialist and Gender Equality Advocate with over a decade of experience in health, gender, and community development. She currently serves as the Gender Equality and Social Inclusion Manager for the GROW2 Project at MEDA, promoting women’s empowerment and inclusive economic growth among smallholder farmers in Northern Ghana. With a master’s in public health and a background in community nutrition, she has led initiatives in maternal and child health, reproductive health, malaria prevention, and gender advocacy. Elfreda has worked with organizations like Plan International Ghana and Hope for Future Generations, focusing on child protection and community systems strengthening. She serves as the Chairperson for Rural Initiative for Community Empowerment Initiative, Ghana (RICE Ghana), bringing a wealth of experience, technical expertise, and strategic insight to the organization.

Alice Bokuma Gbevillah

Board Secretary

Alice Bokuma Gbevillah is a seasoned community development professional with over 15 years of experience in international development, specializing in gender, peacebuilding, conflict management, and early warning systems. She currently serves as the Gender and Early Warning Specialist with WANEP-Ghana and acts as the Secretary on the Board of Directors for RICE Ghana. Alice brings rich experience in stakeholder engagement, youth empowerment, WASH, and disability inclusion across northern Ghana.

Bennin Juatie Duori

Board Member

Bennin Juatie Duori is the Regional Coordinator for USAID's RING Systems Strengthening project in Wa and a Board Member of RICE Ghana. With advanced degrees in Mathematics Education and Monitoring & Evaluation, he brings extensive experience in organizational development, livelihoods, and financial inclusion. Bennin has worked with leading international organizations like Global Communities, JSI, ACDI/VOCA, GIZ, and MEDA, leading the formation of over 4,500 Village Savings and Loans Associations (VSLAs) across northern Ghana. He specializes in VSLA-linked women’s empowerment, business training, and value chain development, and serves as a consultant to the Ghana Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Hajia Fati Seidu is a respected women’s rights activist and seasoned development practitioner with over two decades of experience in NGO management and leadership. She currently serves as the Executive Director of the Sung Foundation and brings a wealth of expertise in advocacy, governance, and organizational development. Hajia Fati has served on numerous boards and has been actively involved in both national and international advocacy platforms. As a Board Member of RICE Ghana, she contributes strategic insight and a strong commitment to gender equality and social inclusion.

Aliu Baduon Sabamma Fio

Board Member

Aliu is a results-driven professional and seasoned practitioner with 18 years of experience in Business Development, Development Finance, Supply Chain Management, and Integrated Community Development. He has a proven track record of leading teams, managing projects, and fostering donor and local partner relationships with organizations like Temple Investment Limited, CRS Ghana, Care International, United States Peace Corps, and Rural Action Alliance Program. He has worked extensively in sectors such as Agriculture, Livelihoods, Education, Climate Change, and Financial Inclusion.

He is a PhD Candidate in Business Management (International Logistics and Supply Chain Management) and holds Master's degrees in Development Finance and Procurement and Supply Chain Management. He also holds a Diploma in Integrated Community Development. His educational background has equipped him with the skills and knowledge to drive strategic growth and development.
